So I decided to get on the Blog wagon and start a blog site. So far I'm not sure what to write. So I guess I will start with school. I enrolled in a Medical Transcription course in February of this year. It was 27 years since I graduated from Ricks, so I was so excited to go back and further my education. It has been a great course. Sometimes it is really hard, but learning this new skill has been an exciting journey. We have a school forum with students from all ages, even some older than me. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help. I love chatting with them. It's like being in class and on campus, unfortunately I may never meet them, but they have become my greatest supporters. I transcribe about 5 reports a day, which may not seem like much, but considering that you have to correct the misspellings and look up things you never knew existed, it does take some time. It has been a real learning experience. I never knew people could have so many diseases at one time. The operating reports have been pretty interesting, minus learning about bowel movements and vomiting. All in all I am so excited to be starting a new career in the Spring and being able to work at home. I think I am ready for this new stage of my life.
